Hey guys! I am back with another simple recipe. I have turned to cooking simple foods rather than experimenting with new dishes, for now. A nice homely meal is what we are craving for now. Brinjal Fry is really simple. It does not need any elaborate method of cooking. Whenever you want something quick to turn to-brinjal fry will be a really good decision. It’s simple and very tasty. Without further ado, here is the recipe below:
Ingredients
- 1 big brinjal : 400-500 gm
- Turmeric powder: 2 table spoon
- Salt :According to taste
- Oil : Enough to deep fry the slices of brinjal
Procedure
- Choose a brinjal without any holes in it
- Clean and cut it in circular slices of about 1” in thickness
- Marinate with turmeric powder and salt. Coat the slices well. Keep aside for about 5 min.
- Take a wok or kadai
- Heat the wok well and then add oil.It should be enough to deep fry the brinjal slices
- Heat the oil further till it’s sizzling hot. Then lower the flame
- Put the brinjal pieces 2-3 at a time depending on the wok size and oil quantity. Ensure that the slices are well submerged in the oil
- Fry till they turn brownish in colour and then flip for frying other side. Fry other side also for about 4-5 min
- Remove the slices from the pan and place them on tissue papers for removing the extra oil layer
- Your brinjal fry is ready to be served. It’s best had with roti or rice
